Spencer Heat & Air was founded by H.F. (Shep) Shepard in 1968 after moving from Wichita, Kansas to Spencer, Oklahoma.
Spencer Heat and Air started in 1968 when H.F. "Shep" Shepard moved to Spencer, Okla. from Wichita,Kan.
Spencer's has been a family oriented business from the beginning.
Shep's son, John, has worked at the business since inception. He started by putting in hours over the summer while he was in high school, then took on a more active role in the company after graduating from Sooner Trade School in 1978.
John's sister Sue joined the company in 1988 to oversee office and administrative tasks and stayed a key member of the venture.
General manager and part owner, Stanley Powell, became a part of Spencer's more than a decade ago and has since been a part of the family. As John begins to slow down, Stanley will begin taking over his duties.
Over the years, Spencer's has steadily evolved from a single shop to a local fixture. They now operate through 3 large buildings, 6 trucks and 11 state licensed employees who never stop expanding their education and keeping up with the latest technology.
They'll be celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2018.
As a company, Spencer’s motto is the golden rule - to treat customers like Spencer’s would want to be treated. This is why they make a point to provide customers with convenient, quality service at the best price possible. To make this happen, Spencer’s does a lot of their own sheet metal work on site and maintain an expansive inventory of parts and equipment. Additionally, all bids on new construction and replacing equipment are free of charge.
Spencer Heat & Air services Oklahoma County and the surrounding areas and handle all makes and models of A/C’s, furnaces and air treatments. They work on both commercial and residential remodels and new construction.
Spencer’s is an insured, licensed and bonded local business that believes in the importance of good community relationships.
